Athletics Canada’s Paralympic Development Program to host Eastern Development Camp

Athletics Canada is pleased to announce that it will be hosting a Talent Development Camp from Nov. 11 to 13, 2016, in Guelph, Ont., as part of the Paralympic Development Program’s new recruiting initiatives.

The Talent Development Camp is targeted for athletes in the eastern provinces (Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec and the Maritime provinces) who have yet to represent Canada on a national team, but who are training regularly and performing well on a regional or provincial level. The camp will immerse selected athletes and their personal coaches in a high-performance training atmosphere.  The camp is funded for selected athletes and their personal coach.

The camp will be directed by National Team staff coaches, led by Athletics Canada Head Coach Peter Eriksson, providing valuable experience and instruction to participating athletes and their personal coaches.

Participants will be invited to the Talent Development Camp through a Canada wide selection process. Interested parties must complete the Athletics Canada Talent Identification Radar Form (link below) and send it to Adam Janssen, Central Canada Para-Athletic Recruiter, at ajanssen@athletics.ca.
