Athletics Canada’s Paralympic Development Program to host Western Development Camp

Athletics Canada announced today that it will host a talent development camp from Feb. 16-18, 2018, in Regina as part of the Paralympic Development Program’s recruiting initiatives.

The talent development camp is targeted at athletes in the western provinces (British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan) who have yet to represent Canada on a national team, but who are training regularly and performing well on a regional or provincial level. The camp will immerse selected athletes and their personal coaches in a high-performance training atmosphere. The camp is funded for selected athletes and their personal coach.

The camp will be directed by National Team staff coaches, and led by Athletics Canada’s leadership team, providing valuable experience and instruction to participating athletes and their personal coaches.

Participants will be invited to the talent development camp through a selection process. Interested parties must complete the 2018 Talent Identification Radar Form no later than Friday, Jan. 12, to be considered for selection.

For more information about the talent development camp, please contact Athletics Canada’s Western Canada Para-Athletic Recruiter, Taylyr Dickinson, via email at taylyr.dickinson@athletics.ca.
