Athletics Canada’s second High Performance Coaching Clinic scheduled for Dec. 10

Athletics Canada announce today that the second High Performance Coaching Clinic will take place on Sunday, Dec. 10, at its East Hub in Toronto. These monthly clinics are being offered as a professional development service to coaches and to advance the culture of coaching excellence in Canada. The clinics will cover various topics and will feature guest speakers who have a wealth of experience and knowledge of athletics, allowing coaches to hear first-hand from professional coaches and national team staff.

The next high performance coaching clinic will take place on Sunday, Dec. 10. Members of Athletics Canada’s staff will be joined by guest lecturer Boo Schexnayder. He is regarded internationally as one of the leading authorities in training design. As co-founder of SAC, Schexnayder brings more than 36 years of experience in the coaching and consulting fields to the clinic.

Athletics Canada coaches scheduled to take part include Les Gramantik (coach of Olympic bronze medallist decathlete Damian Warner) and Richard Parkinson (coach of 2017 World championship shot put finalist Brittany Crew). Dana Way, Carla Nicholls and Molly Killingbeck from Athletics Canada will discuss topics about biomechanics and the NextGen program.
