Canadian cross country team ready for 2017 IAAF World Cross Country Championships

Canada’s best cross country runners will travel to Kampala, Uganda, to compete in the 2017 IAAF World Cross Country Championships on Sunday, March 26. Team members qualified to represent Canada based on their finish at the 2016 Canadian Cross Country Championships that were held in Kingston, Ont., on Nov. 26.

In 2015 in Guiyang, China, Rachel Hannah and Justyn Knight both finished in 25th place, while the senior women finished 10th in the team competition.

The U20 and senior team raced successfully in Florida earlier this month at the NACAC Cross Country Championships. The team will look to build on those positive results and carry the momentum forward as they race the best in the world in Uganda.
