Canadian team ready to compete at 2017 Pan Am Cross Country Cup

A group of Canada’s best cross country runners will travel to Boca Raton, Florida and compete this Saturday, March 4 at the 2017 Pan Am Cross Country Cup. Team members qualified based on their finish at the 2016 Canadian Cross Country Championships.

Last year at this event the women’s under-20 won the team title thanks to a 1-2 finish from Branna MacDougall and Madelaine Ghazarian. Canada’s other podium finish was a runner-up placing from Sasha Gollish in the women’s senior race.

The race in Florida will be serve as an opportunity to compete in the build up to the 2017 IAAF World Cross Country Championships. The top cross country runners in the world will toe the line in Kampala, Uganda on March 26, 2017.
