Career Opportunity: Coordinator, First Contact Programs

Athletics Canada is looking for an individual to lead its first contact programs teaching fundamental movement skills and physical literacy using track and field inspired games, activities, and skill challenges. The Coordinator, First Contact Programs will work with provincial branch coordinators and key partners to design, deliver, and evaluate programs and events targeted at children aged 6-14.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Athletics Canada is looking for an individual to lead its first contact programs teaching fundamental movement skills and physical literacy using track and field inspired games, activities, and skill challenges. The Coordinator, First Contact Programs will work with provincial branch coordinators and key partners to design, deliver, and evaluate programs and events targeted at children aged 6-14. 

Key functions will include presentations to school bodies and other community based organizations, as well as leading any programs affiliated with Athletics Canada’s major events. This position plays an important part in our strategic objective of reaching 500,000 children by 2020. Priority will be given to individuals with experience in delivering programs to youth, and those living in, or willing to work in a major Canadian centre.

Athletics Canada is the national governing body for the sport of track and field, cross country running, and road racing. Athletics Canada is committed to the development of Athletics in Canada, providing programming opportunities for participants of all ages and stages of development.

 

COMPENSATION

Compensation will be determined by successful candidates’ skills and experience.
