Capping an impressive season Ben Flanagan won his first national title yesterday at the 2018 Canadian 5k Championships held as part of the Bang & Olufsen Yorkville Run while Natasha Wodak reclaimed the women’s title which she first one in 2015.
Flanagan broke the tape in a time of 13:56 with Wodak leading the women across in 15:58.
Lucas Bruchet who finished in second place behind Flanagan on the men’s side also has a third-place finish from the 2016 edition of the event to his credit.
Julie-Anne Staehli was able to improve her placing from last year where she had finished just off the podium.
