The inaugural Hershey Youth Series begins tomorrow in Calgary, Alta., at Foothills Athletic Park, site of the 2012 Olympic Track and Field Trials. Over 2,500 participants are expected to participate in the first edition of this new initiative. 

The 2015 Hershey Youth Series is comprised of four regional all-comers competitions for midget (14-15) and youth (16-17) aged athletes. Athletics Canada’s objective with the series is to expand to six events by 2018 and ensure events rotate within each region to maximize youth participation.

The Hershey Youth Series is a new initiative by Athletics Canada aimed at increasing accessibility and exposure of the sport across Canada. It is part of Hershey’s multi-year investment in youth athletics, along with the Hershey Run Jump Throw Wheel grassroots program, and the Hershey Canadian Indoor Championships.
