Athletics Canada and PAJAC2015, the host organizing committee, cordially invite you to the official media launch announcing highlights of the 2015 Canadian Track and Field Championships held at the University of Alberta Foote Field July 2 – 5.
Among the launch participants are a number of Canadian athletes on the Pan Am Games team, including Alberta’s own Jessica O’Connell, Parapan Am Games hopeful Alister McQueen and Shawn Barber, 2014 Commonwealth Games medallist in the pole vault, 2015 Pan American Games team member and currently ranked #2 in the world.
Also on-hand to talk about the importance of the 2015 Canadian Championships will be Peter Eriksson, Athletics Canada Head Coach and Chief Technical Officer, and Peter Ogivlie, Chief Executive Officer of PAJAC2015.
The 2015 Canadian Track and Field Championships serve as the selection trials for the 2015 IAAF World Championships (Beijing, China, August 22 – 30), for the 2015 Panamerican Junior Championships (Edmonton, Alberta, July 31 to August 2) and for the 2015 Parapanamerican Games (Toronto, Ontario, August 7 to 15).
