Media Advisory - Meet elite Canadian athletes ahead of #MTLGP18

Meet with elite Canadian athletes from the Grand Prix d'Athlétisme de Montréal

11:00 – 12:00 (noon)

On the eve of the Grand Prix d’Athlétisme de Montréal, five elite Canadian athletes will take part in Run Jump Throw Wheel Day along with 600 children from participating elementary schools. The athletes will be interacting with the youngsters and will also be available to meet with the media.

Sam Effah
Member of the Canadian Team that will compete at the 2018 Commonwealth Games 
Member of 2009 and 2013 World Championship

Sage Watson
Sage will be a member of the Canadian Team that will compete at the 2018 Commonwealth Games
Competed for Canada at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games
Finished 6th in the 400m hurdles at the 2017 World Championships
Second all-time in Canada behind Rosey Edeh

Johnathan Cabral
Competed for Canada at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games 
Finished 6th in the 110m hurdles at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games

Andre Ford
Canadian sprinting hopeful
Finished 7th in the 100m at the U20 World Junior Championships in 2014

Crystal Emmanuel
Member of the Canadian Team that will compete at the 2018 Commonwealth Games 
Competed for Canada at the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games
Finished 7th in the 200m at the 2017 World Championships
Canadian record holder in the 200m
