Ilana Dupont (née Duff) was introduced to para-athletics by the Saskatchewan Wheelchair Sports Association. She began training in November 2005, and within a year she made the national team. Dupont was paralyzed in a horseback riding incident in 2000.

In 2015, Dupont collected two medals at the Parapan American Games in Toronto with silver in the 100m and bronze in the 800m. A few weeks later she raced in four events at the IPC World Championships and reached three finals.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

2013 bronze medalist in the 100m at the IPC World Championships, Lyon, France... Beijing 2008 Paralympic bronze medalist in the 100m... Canadian record holder T-53 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m.

PERSONAL

Married to wheelchair racing teammate Alexandre Dupont, who is also a member of the Rio 2016 Canadian Paralympic Team… Gave birth to daughter Amélia in August 2014… Business owner at Révolution Sports. Passion for cooking.
