About London Western & Western University
London Western is one of Canada’s premier track and field clubs. In existence for over 40 years, the club has produced numerous Olympians. Currently the club boasts 7 nationally carded athletes and approximately 150 athletes. The London-based club is home to many top flight athletes and is dedicated to high performance athletics, while providing a safe and positive environment for athletes to develop.
Western University is consistently among the top 3 universities at the CIS championships, and is a leader in developing CIS track and field talent.
The successful applicant would assume the role of “head coach” with the London Western club, working with existing volunteer coaches. He/ she would be expected to develop their own group in the area of speed/ power events (including sprints, jumps, hurdles and throws), to mentor coaches in other event areas, manage club entries and finances and to develop a cohesive plan for the development of both London Western and Western University athletes in speed/ power events.
