Provisional nomination to Paralympic Team

Athletics Canada has provisionally nominated 16 athletes to compete at the Paralympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.

The athletes are:

5. Zachary Gingras, Markham, Ont., 400 metres, 4x100-metre relay (T38)

6. Austin Ingram, Petawawa, Ont., 100 metres, 4x100-metre relay (T13)

7. Brent Lakatos, Dorval, Que., 100 metres, 400 metres, 800 metres, 1,500 metres, 5,000 metres, marathon (T53)

8. Sarah Mickey, Redcliff, Alta., discus (F55)

9. Thomas Normandeau, Peace River, Alta., 400 metres (T47)

10. Guillaume Ouellet, Victoriaville, Que., 5,000 metres (T13)

11. Marissa Papaconstantinou, Toronto, Ont., 100 metres, 200 metres, 4x100-metre relay (T64)

12. Nathanial Riech, Victoria, B.C., 1,500 metres (T38)

13. Austin Smeenk, Oakville, Ont., 100 metres, 800 metres (T34)

14. Liam Stanley, Victoria, B.C., 1,500 metres (T37)

15. Greg Stewart, Kamloops, B.C., shot put (F46)

16. Amy Watt, Victoria, B.C., long jump (T47)

The final list of nominees will be officially announced after the team has been approved by the Canadian Paralympic Committee, once the athlete appeal window has closed.
