Athletics Canada to send four athletes to NACAC Combined Events Championship in Ottawa

Athletics Canada is pleased to field a team of four athletes for the 2022 NACAC Combined Events Championship held on May 14 and 15 at the Terry Fox Athletics Facility in Ottawa.

Nicole Ostertag, Madisson Lawrence, Rostam Turner and Shawn Beaudoin will don the maple leaf at the first championship of its kind since 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Ottawa Lions are hosting this year's competition, at the same venue that welcomed the Pan American Combined Events Cup in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2018. This edition of the Championship will be classed as a GL event for World Ranking purposes, and the top three athletes in the women’s and men’s open divisions will respectively be awarded $1,500, $750 and $250 by the local organizing committee.
