Athletics Canada announced today the schedule and technical information for the 2015 National Track League (NTL). NTL 2015 will begin May 30 in Guelph, Ont., with the Speed River Inferno Track and Field Festival. The series then make stops in Halifax, N.S., on June 2, Vancouver, B.C., on June 8, Victoria, B.C., June 10 and concludes in Edmonton, Alta., on July 12.
NTL 2015 provides an impressive earning opportunity for Canadian and international athletes alike, overall the series has $300,000 up for grabs; $100,000 through the NTL Prize Pool and $200,000 collectively from the five competitions.
The 2015 series will play an important as athletes look to qualify for the 2015 Pan American Games (Toronto, Ontario) and the 2015 World Championships (Beijing, China).
NTL, entering its fourth season, offers Canadian high performance athletes an opportunity to compete against elite international competition on home soil, and provides breakthrough opportunities for up and coming athletes.
