Technical Notes
Technical Meeting
A mandatory technical meeting will be hosted on Saturday, October 16th at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel. Elite athlete race packages will be available here for pick-up.
Time: TBD
Competition Footwear
Athletes may compete barefoot or with footwear on one or both feet. The purpose of shoes for competition is to give protection and stability to the feet and a firm grip on the ground. They must not give athletes any unfair assistance or advantage. Any type of shoe must be reasonably available to all in the spirit of the universality of athletics. To meet that requirement all athletes must compete using footwear approved by World Athletics and appear on the World Athletics Shoe Compliance List (October 1, 2021). Footwear will be checked at the Technical Meeting.
Doping Control
Doping Control will be carried out at these Championships in accordance with Athletics Canada / CCES Policies. Click here for Athletics Canada’s Anti-Doping Policy.
