Mitton X Smeenk

Sarah Mitton is coming off an incredible 2023 season. She scored gold medals in the women’s shot put at both the Pan American Games and the Canadian Track and Field Championships, plus silver medals at the World Athletics Championships and the Diamond League Finals. This Tokyo 2020 Olympian is gearing up for Paris 2024 at the top of her powers.

Austin Smeenk claimed silver and bronze and setting three Canadian records at the 2023 World Para Athletics Championships. A two-time Paralympian (could have been three-time Paralympian, but you will have to watch the video for that story), Smeenk has a plan for the coming para athletics season that he thinks can lead to his best ever showing on the sport’s biggest stage.

Both Sarah and Austin were named Canada’s team captains at their respective Worlds and they happen to be old lifting buddies at Athletics Canada’s East Hub in Toronto. They have lots to talk about, so dive right into Mitton X Smeenk.
